Mud huts were built in the  large  forepart area of the very first hotel in Nainital, located adjuscent to the holy Nainital Monastery complex.

Mud houses are native and popular in Nainital as well as in entire Mangalam Retreat, this being a Cold desert. Mud houses keep warm in winter and cool in summer.

COTTAGES are large with contemporary furnishing n comforts. Spacious modern washroom is in-situ with running hot n cold showers.

An open private balcony is prime for peaceful relaxation and nightly view of the star studded sky.
